SEAFUTURE AWARDS
YOUNG PEOPLE AS THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY

We have established the SEAFUTURE AWARDS: a prize dedicated to high school students in Liguria and another for university students. The aim is to recognize experimental, master's, or doctoral theses developed in collaboration with companies, in University Department laboratories, or in Research Centers. These projects should focus on marine technology products or processes that can be utilized in various sectors (Dual Use) while having a low environmental impact. 

SEAFUTURE AWARDS

The new edition of the **SEAFUTURE Awards 2025** is open to graduates, PhD students, and postgraduates from the Italian academic world, both civil and military, who have developed experimental, master’s, or doctoral theses related to the development of processes and products in the field of marine technologies. In particular, the award aims to enhance experimental theses developed in industries or laboratories of University Departments or Research Centers. It focuses on projects and marine technologies that can be utilized in different sectors (Dual Use), promote a circular blue economy, and relate to one or more of the following areas: innovative materials, energy efficiency, ecological transition, low environmental impact, climate change, digital transition, IoT technologies, cybersecurity, robotics, logistics, and transport.

SEAFUTURE AWARDS HIGH SCHOOL

The SEAFUTURE Awards High School is open to students enrolled in the last two years of secondary school in Liguria. The award aims to enhance outreach projects or essays addressing topics, products, or processes in the field of marine technologies that promote a circular blue economy. Key themes include environmental protection, innovative materials, energy efficiency, ecological transition, low environmental impact, climate change, digital transition, IoT technologies, cybersecurity, robotics, logistics, and transport. The integration of the research paper with one or more interviews with experts and relevant figures that support the research will be considered a rewarding element.
